The product

Plan the route.
Guide the load.

WideLoad is a working, phone-first web app for oversize pilot and escort drivers. It doesn't replace your navigation — it turns a permit or an A-to-B plan into an ordered, pilot-ready run: pinned streets in driving order, advisory height and width checks, state heavy-vehicle overlays, and a clean handoff to Google Maps for every leg.

BUILT FOR THE CAB

Drive mode is the default screen — big targets, the next street always in view, your position live on the run.

How it works

Serious plumbing under a simple screen

See how it works
  1. 01

Reads the permit on your phone. The PDF never leaves your device — WideLoad's built-in reader extracts the authorised road list locally.

  2. 02

Finds every road in the official record. Road names are located through the Queensland Government's address databases and OpenStreetMap, then pinned against the state road register — at the junction where you actually enter each road.

  3. 03

Checks your load against signed clearances. Proposed routes are scanned against OpenStreetMap's signed height and width data and flagged within 0.3 m of your height or 0.2 m of your width.

  4. 04

Hands Google Maps pure coordinates. No re-typed addresses, no drift — each leg opens in Google Maps exactly where the run says.

Planning and communication aid

Check every road, pin and condition.

WideLoad is a planning and communication aid. It does not issue permits, approve routes or confirm clearances. Proposed routes and advisory flags may rely on incomplete or outdated third-party data. Check every road and pin against the permit, current official information, road signage, conditions and lawful directions. An absent hazard flag is not evidence of clearance. Users remain responsible for meeting the requirements that apply to their role and movement.
